Our friend went home to grab his son and neighbor. After about 10 minutes of Devin unsuccessfully trying to get the bird out the windows with two screens, the crew came back. Oh how I wish I had thought to record this event...at the very least, the audio portion. But, alas, in my distress, I forgot. Trust me, hearing those 4 men had me along with Clara on the floor laughing! Apparently one of them got it with a lacrosse stick down to the ground but the net was too small so the bird flew into the pants of another one causing shrieking and laughter. Finally the bird was caught with a large net and guided out the window.
My first question was naturally whether or not the bird pooped while in my room. The answer? YES!! Both on the carpet just under the bed (where it hid for a while) as well as on my white duvet. It was berry colored to top it off.
However, we were thankful for the help ridding our house of the Halloween bird.
After 3 years of not having trick-or-treaters at our house (not super common in England), it was especially exciting to see so many children in our neighborhood. We had a fun dinner with my sister-in-law, Ronae, and three of her kids, Sariya, Sadee and Syri before heading out.
It was a really fun night and was especially memorable to have cousins over. To top off our fun week, we were able to visit Jeff and Melissa to see their brand new baby, Asher. He is tiny and adorable and so fun to hold. We had such a wonderful time visiting them and are so happy to be close enough to do so!
Between loads of candy and a brand new baby, it was a fairly perfect week!

LOL, love the British guard costume!!
