Beyond Lawn

Aside from working on our landscaping, we managed to fit in a few fun activities during the past month.

Many surrounded end of school activities.

Clara had her first pinewood derby with her church group.  She is obsessed with Harry Potter at the moment, so she wanted to make a Firebolt as her vehicle.  It was creative but maybe not the most aerodynamic thing on the track. :)

She also had her dance performance and did a fantastic job!

Here is Clara singing in her 3rd grade concert.  Nell loved going to "Clara's school". It was a cute program.  Can you see Clara? Barely?  She is in the pink shirt section second row from the top.

We managed to fit in a few BBQ's as well.  We had a large neighborhood party.  Our next door neighbor acquired a professional sized BBQ and got enough ribs for the entire street.  He smoked them and then grilled them.  They were amazing.  The turn out was great and it was nice to get to know everyone better.  There was even a bounce house that blocked the entire street.  Kids were in heaven!

While not as "big" we had an even better time at a BBQ with family.  We were able to go to Park City and see Jeff and Melissa's new house.  It is beautiful with great views.  After eating, we went on a short walk nearby.  The women had to laugh when we realized that without planning it, the men were all pushing strollers.  It was a good picture opportunity.

The last event was bittersweet. We were able to have the Webbers come to town the night before taking Tommy to the MTC to begin his two year mission in Tacoma, Washington.  It was fun to have an evening together eating and talking.  Devin made some delicious sticky toffee pudding in honor of the fun visit we had together in the UK.

Tommy and Jonas happened to be wearing matching shirts.

It was sad to say goodbye to Tommy for two years but he'll be a great missionary.  He has such a wonderful family, we love them!

Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer!!
